Welcome to the TCA - Gulf Coast Chapter Website

You have just entered the website of the Train Collectors Association - Gulf Coast Chapter. Our goal is to provide information about our chapter and give an insight into the fascinating hobby of train collecting and operation. As you 'surf' the site you will find information about the chapter, pictures of members and their collections along with dates for upcoming events.

Our chapter membership is drawn from Houston and the surrounding metropolitan areas. The members will meet on a monthly basis, usually at a members' house, to share stories, view collections, operate trains and do a bit of "train trading". Many of our chapter members are long time members of the TCA and very involved with all facets of train collecting. There is a wealth of history, knowledge and information available through the membership.

Our club maintains 2 operating layouts that we transport to various venues in order to promote the hobby. One of the layouts is specifically designed to allow the "future" collectors to operate. The layouts are operated by club members who volunteer their time and trains to provide enjoyment to those who come to see them run. Some of the trains are vintage but there is a large array of new equipment and technology used on the operating layouts.

Please feel free to come to one of our events to learn more about the TCA and the Gulf Coast Chapter. We are always looking for new members that will help grow the hobby and contribute to the chapter success.
